Jim Kuykendall is an experienced Mediator working to assist clients in finding resolution to many issues. Family, marital, Divorce, Custody, Civil, and many more. He specializes in high conflict situations and is a Family Coordinator. He is fair, and Consistent, while seeking to do the right thing for all parties. He has written extensive training materials for management and employees, as well as Conflict Resolution training for the workplace.

Jim has 37 years experience in managing people in an industrial setting including Management Development, Human Resources and Labor Relations where he has written and handled labor/management appeals and arbitration before Special and Public Law Boards as well as the National Mediation Board. He understands that there are both sides to every issue and the importance of everyone being heard and understood. He has mediated and settled many cases before they went to the board.

He is also an elected public official who understands the importance of mediating with all parties in creating win-win situations. Jim also serves as a Elder at the church he attends and has worked with church members and leaders in resolving conflicts.

Getting to the root of the issues requires facilitation, listening, collaborative interaction among everyone concerned. Jim is well qualified to help his clients work through their issues seeking resolution.

Professional Background

37 years experience in railroad operations. Including Manager of yard Operations, Train Operations, Director of Terminal Operations, Regional Director Special Project, Management Development.

For the past eight years I have been the Director Human Resources and Labor Relations. Overseeing all facets of human resource processes, Federal regulations, Labor-Management processes including negotiations, disciplinary processes and arbitration. Have arbitrated cases before Public Law Board, Special Board of Adjustments, and National Mediation Board.

I have written management development curriculum and designed training programs for managers and employees. Most recently wrote a comprehensive training program for dispute resolution for the workplace for managers and employees.

Elected Mayor of City of 3200 people within a large urban area. Serve as representative for all small cities for transportation issues. Member of Economic Development Board of Directors for South Montgomery County. Very much involved in community activities.

Serve as an Elder in the church I attend. IN this position I have the opportunity to help people in many situations including resolving conflicts. Work with church leaders in conflict resolution they may have.

Approach

Fees

My fees are based upon the work to be done.
Mediation fees are $500.00 per half day session, with each party paying $250.00.
Training fees are $750.00 per day plus expenses.
Fees are subject to change dependent on location and/or situation.
Curriculum and material fees are separate from above fees.
