Description of Practice

At the Law and Mediation Services of Lana M. Shearer in California, we understand that your family matters. Separation, divorce and child custody issues are emotionally challenging under any circumstances. Ms. Shearer will explain the alternative options available to you such as Mediation, Collaborative Practice, Unbundled Services and Litigation, and will assist you in choosing the option that is best for your unique circumstances.

Our mission is twofold: to educate and to guide. We strive to educate the community regarding the alternative options available to avoid having their personal family matters displayed in court and decided by a process wholly out of their control. In addition, we guide our clients by working together with parents and couples to efficiently achieve enforceable, creative and balanced agreements and minimize the negative aftereffects of a separation, divorce and custody disagreement.

We define success not by the yearly revenue we take in, but by the lives we have touched. When you require the assistance of a skilled attorney to provide guidance and sensitivity for your personal and financial issues, you can rely on us.
