Approach

I practice facilitative mediation. This means the mediator structures the process to help assist the parties in reaching a mutually agreeable resolution. A facilitative mediator does not make recommendations to the parities, nor does he or she give advice as to the outcome of the case. The mediator is in charge of the process, while the parties are in charge of the outcome. I take the mediation process very seriously. Agreeing to mediate is an opportunity for the parties to address their conflict and find a solution that works best for them. When both sides are satisfied with the outcome, the agreement is more likely to work. In a trial there is limited time for you to be heard. The judge focuses on the evidence and the law. Mediation works because it allows each party the time they need to discuss and resolve ALL issues so they can finally move on. In addition Mediation is conducted in private, there is no audience like in a courtroom. During mediation we focus on the future and avoid past problems. We center in on whats important to both parties so that we can better create an agreement addressing all concerns. Everything said in the mediation is private and made confidential. By choosing mediation over litigation you are not only cutting your court costs and attorney fees but your resolving your conflict faster.

Fees

$250 to 300 per hour. Sessions usually last three to four hours for simple cases. However, more complex cases can take more time but be spilt between several sessions.
